About the Lantana City

 Video Lantana City

From the moment you first see Lantana, you realize there's no community quite like it. A 1,718-acre haven where families could live and prosper, enjoying a lifestyle beyond compare. The planning is obvious: Hill Country-inspired architecture, extraordinary amenities and native Texas landscaping. Nature carefully preserved and maintained. Architecturally unique residences. Unequaled recreational facilities. Manicured greens of fairways that encircle the community. A wide range of home styles and prices to appeal to all lifestyles. Most importantly, the sense of togetherness...of home.

A desire to create a place so masterfully - Planned and executed it would surpass any other. To do so required a commitment unusually broad in scope. A commitment to the needs of the families and future of their children. A commitment to quality in every detail, to environmentalpreservation and to residents that would extend far beyond mere physical spaces.

Jay Morrish is considered one of the world's premier golf course designers, with projects in Scotland, Spain, Australia, Canada and Japan, including the prestigious Loch Lomond -- ranked among the Top 10 Most Exclusive Clubs in the world. He is credited with the design of numerous courses in the United States, many ranked in the Top 100 nationally. Notable courses include the TPC at Las Colinas - home of the Byron Nelson Classic, and the Scottsdale TPC - home of the Phoenix Open.

If golf is your game, then Lantana suits you to a tee. Our 18-hole course was designed by Jay and Carter Morrish, one of the nation's top five golf architectural firms. This spectacular semi-private course encircles the community with picturesque fairways.

While most developers build golf courses on flood plains, the Lantana course is constructed entirely on buildable land. This approach, although more expensive, yields the benefit of circle-play and has allowed the course to be designed without any topographical limitations. At the same time, it provides many more golf course homesites and golf course views.

This spectacular daily-fee course is built to maximize the natural surroundings. Rolling, tree-lined fairways rise and fall with the gentle sloping hills of the area. Bright, white bunkers serve the dual purpose of protecting greens while accentuating their rich green color. The 15th hole serves as Morrish's signature hole, a par-three island green surrounded by water, sloping 165 yards downhill from tee to green.

Advanced tee times will be available to Lantana residents.
